Abstracts

Submission of Abstracts

Abstracts for submission will be accepted until 6:00 pm (U.S. Eastern Daylight Saving Time) on September 16th, 2007. Please email abstracts to toxicogenomics@statgen.ncsu.edu with "TIES-2007 abstract" in the subject heading and indicate your desire to participate in the competition in the body of the email. Notification of acceptance for oral presentations will be by September 30th, 2007. All abstracts will be published in the TIES-2007 conference booklet.

Preparation of Abstracts

Abstracts should be limited to no more than 250 words in the body of the abstract. Use only Times New Roman 12 point font. To be complete, each abstract needs a title (limited to 25 words), an author list and authors' affiliation. The first line of the abstract document should be the title in bold font type followed by a double-spaced line. The list of authors should follow with the presenter's name as the lead author. Use the last name first with a space followed by the initials of the author's first and middle name. Separate each author with a comma. Superscript the beginning of each author's last name with a number to denote their affiliation. Insert a double-spaced line and then include the authors' affiliation with a number superscripted at the beginning of the affiliation name. Insert a double-spaced line and then add the abstract body, not indented at the beginning but in justified format. An example of an abstract is available here: Sample_abstract.pdf.

Poster Format

Posters should not exceed 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall (i.e: posters should be generated in portrait orientation). Push pins and bulldog clips will be available to attach the posters to the poster boards.
